I have proved to myself many times that I can lose weight. The problem for me is maintaining the weight loss. I firmly believe that my body wants to be bigger than what I am now, and will hold on to any calorie I eat to get there.
When I lost weight before, I was working out an hour and a half, but it was not every day. I was lucky to go every other day. When I was in high school, running track, practice averaged two and a half hours, 5 days a week. That is when I weighed 115, and because of the rigorous activity I could eat whatever I wanted. Except for this one time I ate hot dogs every meal for about a weak, needless to say I gained 5 lbs. Yuck, hot dogs; cheap, convenient, disgusting.
Hopefully, being vegan means I do not have to do two and a half hours hard cardio, five days a week to meet my goal. My plan is to do 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week. If that does not work, I will raise it to 45 minutes, 60 minutes, etc. I have my fingers crossed. Stick with me and we can see results together.

Have you thought of fasting for two weeks from the break of dawn ’til sundown? I know it sounds like a lot of hardwork but it works for me (but I get a lot of help from my high metabolism as well). Every year, I fast for a month – no water, no food. And when I break my fast at around 1830 hours, I abstain from eating junks.
Give it a go.
I think I would be able to do it, but right now, I really want to focus on something that I can continue for the long term. And I am starting a really intense program in school, I really need to eat breakfast and lunch to focus.
When my weight goes above the comfort zone (as it often does during the sedentary Sonoran desert summers) I go raw ’til dinner for a few weeks and that helps dramatically. (Or breakfast and then raw all eve-it depends on when you’re most likely to nosh).
That sounds like an okay possibility. I would just have to find an affordable raw replacement for breakfast cereal. It is relatively cheap and it ensures I get a lot of vitamins, minerals and stuff for the day.
You can definitely achieve your goal. The key is to stay focused and do what you can when you can. I definitely think the vegan diet helps- just be sure you are focusing the majority of your meals around clean whole foods and cut back on the indulgences to about one -two meals a week. I will def stick with you and see all your amazing results!
Thanks for the pointers. These are some really good/ realistic tips that I can use.
