Julie and Julia Challenge

by TheSweetestVegan on September 15, 2010

Yesterday, I rented Julie and Julia for the second time from RedBox. I am not that emotional of a person, but I almost cried at the end . . . again.

Lately, I have been trying to think of what I can do on my blog until the Tour de Sweetest Vegan. I was inspired to blog my way through a cookbook like Julie did in the movie. My cook book of chose is The Joy of Vegan Baking by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau. I have blogged about how much I love this cookbook before, and  my love for the cook book has only increased since then.

I have already cooked three of the recipes: Rice Pudding, Peanut Butter Cookies, and German Apple Cake. I did not blog about the Rice Pudding. I cooked it with brown rice and it just did not do it for me.

I have explored 3 out of  the 150 recipes. I have 147 recipes to go. My deadline is May 1,2010. May the force be with me. (Especially on the recipes that contain tofu : [  )
